Welcome to the Magnolia Community Council
We are one of the oldest and most consistently active community councils in the City of Seattle. Founded in 1924, our mission is to maintain a vigilant awareness of activities that affect the quality of life in Magnolia and to take appropriate action to promote and protect the interests of the community. The Magnolia Community Council (MCC) identifies and acts on these issues of concern by participating in the public process and by providing funding, management and/or labor for community projects.
MCC informs the community about the issues through our meetings, E-mails and website.
The Magnolia Community Council invites you to Meet the Candidates to hear from candidates for U.S. Congressional District No. 7; Washington State Legislature – Senate, District 36; and Washington State Legislature – Representative, District 36, Position 1 & 2. This general meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Magnolia United Church of Christ (3555 W. McGraw Street) – note the new location. Check out additional upcoming events and information about issues by clicking our NEWS tab.
MCC General Meetings:
General meetings are held periodically on the second Thursday of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Catharine Blaine School Cafeteria (2550 – 34th Ave. West, in Magnolia), unless otherwise noted.
MCC Board Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month (except July, August, September, and December), from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at either the Magnolia Community Center (2550 – 34th Ave. West in Magnolia) or the Magnolia Branch of the Seattle Public Library. All are welcome!
Help us with our mission to improve the quality of life in our community. All those residing in, or those who are owners of residences in or work in the Magnolia community are members of the Magnolia Community Council. We invite you to become involved and help us make Magnolia a delightful place to live and work.
Note: We’ve recently changed our name! Formerly known as the Magnolia Community Club, which remains our legal name with the Washington Secretary of State’s Office, we’re now operating under the name of Magnolia Community Council.
